SALISBURY, Md. - After a nearly 3 hour meeting Monday night, Salisbury City Council has passed a number of measures.

The Council voted, three-to-two, in favor of a skate park, to be constructed on 14000 sq feet at the East End of the City Park.

In addition, they voted unanimously in favor of upgrades for the Salisbury Police Department, including that Long Range Acoustic Device used for breaking up unruly crowds, a heat sensor for K-9 vehicles that would release the doors if it becomes to hot for dogs, as well as a special light to be used in forensic investigations.

City Council also voted unanimously to pass the living shoreline grant, which should prevent further erosion, improve drainage, and ease flooding problems by Market Street.
