OCEAN CITY, Md, - If you have property in downtown Ocean City, you might qualify for a free water quality assessment, and maybe more. The town of Ocean City has started a pilot program testing water quality to determine the best ways to decrease pollutants draining into coastal bays from storm water runoff.
The plan is available for all properties built prior to 1985, and if after the free assessment a property owner wants to move forward with a project, the town is offering small grants to do so. Such projects include rain barrels, rain gardens, sand filters, and infiltration drains. For more information call 410-289-8825.
