Troopers Investigate Robbery Of DOT Discount Cigarette Store In Lewes

LEWES, Del. – Troopers are investigating a robbery of the DOT Discount Cigarette store in Lewes that occurred around 6:55 PM on Saturday.
 
A white male suspect entered the store and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect pulled out a knife and held it up to the employee while he removed the money, then fled on foot in a westerly direction. The employee was not injured.
 
According to reports, the suspect is a white male between ages 23 and 30, around 6 feet tall, with an average build. He was allegedly wearing a dark baseball cap, gray hooded sweatshirt with the Philadelphia Eagles across the front, tan khaki pants, and dark shoes.
