SALISBURY, Md. - Jane Ellen Brown, 60, of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at her residence. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Edgar Brown and Norma Murrell Brown. She worked for the State of Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration for 16 years. She also owned and operated an aerobics fitness program known as Aerobics in Dance, making many life-long friends and loving to dance. Near and dear to her heart was anything patriotic, caring for and worrying about every military family.
She is survived by a sister, Connie Brown Fries and her husband, W. Gregory of Salisbury; a niece, Julie Fries Patterson and her husband, Timothy of Orleans, MA; a nephew, Lieutenant Commander Thomas Edward Fries and his wife, Kerry and their son, Finley, all of Annapolis; several aunts and uncles, Diane and John Murrell, Elizabeth Murrell and Eunice Lee Burkett, all of Salisbury and Joan and Paul Murrell of Jarrettsville, MD; a former husband, Thomas N. Tubbs of Sarasota, FL; and numerous cousins and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, Eleanor and Edwin Younger, Eugene Burkett and Col. James H. Murrell, USAF, Retired.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Tim Dukes will officiate.
