Cause Of Friday Morning House Fire In Salisbury Still Being Investigated

SALISBURY, Md. - The cause of an early morning house fire in Salisbury remains under investigation.

Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says the blaze broke out around 2:15 AM on Friday, on the back porch of the West Chester Street home. It was called in by a neighbor.

35 firefighters from 3 companies, including Salisbury, Fruitland, and Delmar, battled the blaze for 45 minutes. According to the report, there were smoke alarms, and they were working. No one was injured during the fire.

Total damages are estimated at $95,000. The cause is still under investigation, and officials are asking anyone with information to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.
