Parents Complain About Inmates On School Grounds

Posted: Updated:

CENTREVILLE, Md. - The inmates from an Eastern Shore pre-release facility will no longer maintain the school grounds in Queen Anne's County. The change was made after parents complained about the inmates' supervised access inside the school during school hours.

The school principal reportedly said he personally supervised the pre-release workers when they were allowed inside the school on May 7th, and that the students were nowhere near them.

The County Public Works Director said inmates will continue to be used by the parks department but not to maintain school properties.
