Delaware State Park To Host Safe-driving Workshop

Posted: Updated:

LEWES, Del. - If you enjoy the beach and want to learn more about how to stay safe, one local state park has a class for you. Cape Henlopen State Park is hosting "Driving on the Beach" workshop on Sunday, June 2 and Saturday, June 15 at 9:30 AM.

Rangers and surf fishing experts will host a seminar on the rules and regulations of the beach, give tips, and teach how to avoid getting stuck and getting unstuck while driving.

The program will meet at the Seaside Nature Center for an indoor presentation. Depending on the weather, the group may go for a drive on the beach. Please bring safe driving equipment: low -pressure tire gauge, tow rope or chain, board, jack and shovel, if you plan to attend. Park entrance fees are in effect and the program is $5 per person.

For more information or to pre-register, please call 302-645-6852. More information about the public programs at Cape Henlopen or any Delaware State Park is available at the Park's website.
