LINCOLN, Del. - A driver is cited after a crash involving a tractor trailer and a SUV in Lincoln. Delaware State Police say on Friday morning, just after 7:05 AM, a Mercury Mountaineer, was stopped on South DuPont Boulevard (US 113) for a school bus picking up its first passenger.

According to the report, 31-year-old Joshua Burke, of Kentucky, was driving a tractor trailer on South DuPont Boulevard and didn't see the vehicles stopped. Police say Burke was able to slam on the brakes, and swerve, hitting the back and side of the Mountaineer, before stopping.

The school bus, which was empty, wasn't hit. The driver of the SUV and Burke were both wearing seat belts, and we're injured in the crash.

Burke was cited with inattentive driving. Traffic was impacted for about an hour, while the crash was investigated and cleared.
