OCEAN CITY, Md. - The town of Ocean City is ready for Memorial Day Weekend. Officials tell us they have been working year round for this unofficial kick off to summer. The rides have been opened, the seasonal workers have been hired, and they're ready for the nearly 240,000 visitors they typically expect for the holiday.
And with the Jersey shore still making repairs after Superstorm Sandy, there's much speculation about their vacationers heading south. "If those people to Ocean City, we hope that we can offer them a wonderful beach atmosphere, you know, to get away from what they've experienced up north," says Jessica Waters, Community Manager of the Town of Ocean City.
