Strawberry Day kicks off at Furnace Town

SNOW HILL, Md. - A local historical museum is hosting a delicious event, and you can participate.

Bring your strawberry desserts and recipes to this Sunday's Strawberry Day taking place at Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum located at 3816 Old Furnace Road.

Doors will open at 12:00 PM and general admission prices will apply. All Furnace Town members enter free.

At 1:00 PM ticket sales will begin for tastings. Items  will include chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry salsa and strawberry lemonade.

Entries for the backing contest will be accepted from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM. Each dessert must include strawberries and feature two copies of the recipe. No cream fillings or cheesecakes will be accepted.

Limited spots are available for arts and crafts vendors.
