Red Cross Assisting Oklahoma: How You Can Help

Posted: Updated:

WMDT 47 NEWS - So far, in Oklahoma, it's estimated that this tornado did more than $2 billion worth of damage. And the American Red Cross is hard at work assisting with recovery efforts. The Lower Shore Chapter of the Red Cross tells us that they are prepared and ready to go if they get the call.

If you would like to help out, what the Red Cross really needs right now are donations. "we of course are accepting donations, this all costs a lot of money, we are also ready to deploy volunteers if needed," says John Culp, Community Executive of the American Red Cross Lower Shore Chapter.

Monetary donations can be made to "American Red Cross Disaster Relief" by logging on here or by texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. The money will help provide food, shelter and emotional support to the victims.
