DOVER, Del. - State officials are hosting a two-day conference on Delaware's child protection system.
It's aimed at improving how professionals can work together to respond to child abuse and neglect cases from both a civil and criminal perspective.
We're told more than 500 investigators, prosecutors and educators have come together to discuss prevention efforts to reduce child abuse.
"We have many goals - first is to keep the child safe, second is to prosecute those who did this, or third to get the family help is something has happened," organizer Anne Dedrick said.
A big talking point at the conference is the case of former pediatrician Earl Bradley, who is now serving a life sentence for sexually molesting young patients over a number of years.
