Police Advise To Check Belongings In Berlin

BERLIN, Md. - Police say there could be a possibility of more victims in a recent burglary string. Berlin Police Department, and Worcester County Bureau of Investigations are asking residents in and around Berlin, to check for jewelry and electronics that they keep in their homes. If you are missing any property, contact authorities at 410-632-1111.

Authorities say they canvassed the area on Wednesday, in reference to the burglaries. The related burglaries have been reported from March 26th through May 15th. A father and daughter, James and Kate Hughlett, have been charged in two of the burglaries. James Hughlett remains behind bars at this time.

Police remind residents to keep windows and doors locked to keep homes and property secure.
