Bi-State Fugitive Arrested In Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A wanted fugitive is now behind bars in Dorchester County. Cambridge Police say they stopped a vehicle on Wednesday, just before 3:20 AM, for a traffic violation, on Rigby Avenue.

During the stop, officers say they smelt marijuana, so an investigation ensued, where officers say they found marijuana and cocaine. Police then arrested 19-year-old Markeith Jones, and 20-year-old Floyd Daniels, both of Cambridge.

Jones was charged with possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, and released. Daniels was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana, and 2 counts of drug paraphernalia.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Daniels was wanted out of Dorchester County, and Delaware. He was additionally charged as a fugitive on the Delaware warrants. Bond was set for $25,000 for the drug charges, an additional $10,000 for the bench warrant, and ordered to be held without bond on the Fugitive charge.
