Posted: Updated:

FRANKFORD, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a trooper and another man were injured when a truck and the trooper's patrol car crashed.

It happened about 7:40 a.m. Thursday on Pyle Center Road in Frankford. Police say the trooper pulled the cruiser into an intersection when a truck driven by 42-year-old Chad Marvel of Millsboro hit the cruiser.

Troopers say the cruiser spun and stopped in the middle of the road. The truck hit several small trees and stopped in a ditch.

The trooper and a passenger in Marvel's car were treated and released at a local hospital.

The accident is under investigation.
