Salisbury Officials Reveal New Water Tower

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - City officials have officially unveiled the new water tower in Salisbury. On Tuesday, they held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Southside Elevated Water Tower, located on Milford Street.

Representatives from Public Works say the 2 million gallon container will provide better quality water. Amanda Pollack, Director of Public Works, says "this increases the water pressure throughout the city, but really on the southside of town where water pressure has always been typically very low."

We're also told the tower is will also aid in increased fire protection - by adding that extra storage capacity.
