UPDATE: Lawyers File Motion To Postpone Myles Lyons Trial

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man accused in a gruesome triple-shooting may not be appearing in court next month.

Lawyers filed a motion on Monday to postpone his trial date so the court can determine if Lyons is competent to stand trial and an evaluation to assist a Not Criminally Reasonable, or NCR, plea. In November, Lyons allegedly stabbed and shot his pregnant ex-girlfriend, her sister and killed their mother.

He's been charged with first and second degree murder, attempted murder and several other charges.

Wicomico County State's Attorney Ella Disharoon says they are waiting on word from the judge before moving forward.
