Two Arrested On Drug Charges During Fruitland Traffic Stop

FRUITLAND, Md. - A traffic stops in Fruitland leads to two drug arrests. Fruitland Police say they stopped a Buick near S. Fruitland Boulevard and a S. Division Street, after it made an illegal left turn.

During the stop, the officer reportedly smelled marijuana, so the car was searched, and officers reportedly found 500 baggies of suspected heroin, and suspected marijuana.

The driver, Devin Lee Waters, 20, of Crisfield and the passenger, Robert Leon Waters Jr., 28, of Pasadena, were both arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of heroin and marijuana, and paraphernalia.

Police estimate the suspected heroin's street value at around $5,000. Both were released to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
