Man Arrested For Assault Easton State Trooper


EASTON, Md. - Maryland State Police say a man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer and fleeing on foot.

Police say yesterday 18 year-old Kyle Pepper was pulled over for driving recklessly. At first, Pepper reportedly, handed the officer another person's driver's license.

According to Reports, Pepper performed poorly on a field sobriety test and when Police attempted to make an arrest, he attacked the officer, allegedly striking him with his fist.

Police say Pepper then fled the scene on foot.

After a manhunt was conducted, Pepper was reportedly arrested just a few hours later. His charges include DUI, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, and Fraud/Identity Theft, among others.

Police say the Trooper did sustain minor injuries.
