12-Year-Old Boy Hit While Crossing Seaford Street

SEAFORD, Del. - A pedestrian is recovering after being hit on Stein Highway. Seaford Police say on Thursday afternoon, around 2:30 PM, a 12-year-old Seaford boy tried to cross Stein Highway, near Market Street, without using the crosswalk, or crossing guard in the area.

According the report, the boy didn't see an on-coming vehicle, and hit the side the vehicle. The boy was later treated for a non-life threatening head and shoulder injuries. The 46-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured, and didn't receive and charges.
