WMDT Honors April Teacher Who Makes A Difference

Posted: Updated:

FRUITLAND, Md. -- A great teacher goes way beyond the classroom and into the lives of students. Which is why Mrs. Judy Bennett was named WMDT and Accurate Optical's teacher who makes a difference for the month of April.

She teaches Language arts at Stepping Stones Learning Academy in Fruitland.

We brought tears to her eyes when we surprised her Friday morning.

While she says it's her students that inspire her, it's her method of teaching that inspires them.

"I try to teach them instead of saying, I don't want to or I can't that you can and when they feel that success that they did something, that accomplishment and I see their smile then I know that's when I made a difference," she says.

If there's a teacher you know going the extra mile, nominate them Here.
