MD Attorney General's 1st Annual Gun Turn-In Day On Saturday

Posted: Updated:

MARYLAND - The Maryland State's Attorney General is hosting its first annual statewide gun turn in day. Police agencies from around the state will be participating in this first time event. On Saturday, May 11th, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, anyone can turn in unwanted handguns, rifles, shotguns, or air guns, with no questions asked.

If you are planning on dropping off your gun, authorities are making it clear that you should not carry your gun into the Police building. They ask that participants first go into the Department, without the firearm, and contact an officer, who will then give further instructions. Firearms should not be loaded.

Here on the shore, participating agencies include:

  • MSP Easton Barrack - 7053 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD - 410-822-3101
  • Salisbury Police Department - 699 W. Salisbury Parkway, Salisbury, MD 21801 - 410-548-3165
  • Pocomoke City Police Department - 1500 Market Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851 - 410-957-1600
  • MSP Princess Anne Barrack - 30581 Perry Rd, Princess Anne, Maryland 21853 - 410-651-3101

Salisbury Police has partnered with Gordy Tiger Mart, who will make a $100 donation to "Stop the Violence" program for every firearm turned into their department.

More information about the Attorney General's Gun Turn-In Day, including a list of all turn-in locations, is available on-line.
