SALISBURY, Md. - Susan Irene Melvin Tull, 70, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at her residence. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Leroy Melvin and Rosalee Parsons Melvin. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and the Red Men's Lodge, both in Fruitland and the Maryland Classified Employee's Association, where she also served on the Board of Directors for 10 years. She was also a charter member of the Venture Club, a daughter club of the Soroptomist. She was previously employed at Montgomery Wards and Cavanaugh Ford, before retiring in 2012 after a 40 year career as an Administrative Assistant thru the Aviation and Engineering Department at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She had a special interest in animals, especially horses, dogs and cats.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Wayne Tull; 3 sister in laws, Judy Ann Outten and her husband, Winston of Salisbury, Brenda Lee Frye of Salisbury and Joyce Elizabeth Lyons of Bishopville; a nephew, Ernest Leroy Melvin, III of Delmar; a horse, "Apollo" and a cat, "Tea Cup". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Leroy Melvin, II.
Following cremation, there are no formal services planned at this time. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Wicomico County Humane Society, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804 and or Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
