WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) - The uncle of a Boston Marathon bombing suspect killed in a gun battle with police says he is arranging for his nephew's burial because religion and tradition call for him to be buried.
Ruslan Tsarni (ROOS'-lahn SAHR'-nee) arrived Sunday in Massachusetts, where several of his friends plan to wash and shroud Tamerlan Tsarnaev's (TAM'-ehr-lun tsahr-NEYE'-ehvz) body at a Worcester (WUS'-tur) funeral home.
Tsarni says he brought friends with him to prepare his nephew's body according to Muslim tradition. He says he understands that "no one wants to associate their names with such evil acts."
Tsarni, of Montgomery Village, Md., and three other men met with funeral home director Peter Stefan, who says he's still looking for a cemetery who will accept Tsarnaev's body for burial.
