WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police say investigators are looking for a motive and suspects in a park shooting that wounded two.
Police say both men are hospitalized, one in critical condition, following the shootings Saturday afternoon in Judy Johns Park. Investigators say the men were sitting on a bench about 2:30 p.m. when they were shot.
Authorities say officers found one man shot in the abdomen at the scene. He was airlifted to Christiana Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Police say the other victim was taken in a private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital with gunshot wounds to the chest and right leg. He was later transported to Christiana Hospital, where he was described as stable.
Police say investigators are asking anyone with information about the shootings to contact them.
