Employee Fired After April Salisbury Sewage Incident

SALISBURY, Md. - An employee from a Salisbury wastewater treatment plant was fired for an incident that caused more than 29,000 gallons of wastewater to enter the Wicomico River.

The City of Salisbury could not comment on the situation because it is a personnel matter.

Last month, a wastewater treatment plant overflow happened when a pump failed at the "Internal Recycle Pump Station".
