Easton Man Arrested For False Imprisonment Charges

EASTON, Md. - Easton Police say they've arrested a man and charged him with false imprisonment, 2nd degree assault, and theft under $1,000.00. This comes after Police served an arrest warrant on Thursday for 20 year-old Brian Waters Jr. of Easton, Maryland.

Police say last Friday, April 26th, Waters allegedly took a cell phone from someone during an argument. The victim allegedly followed Waters to his vehicle in a reported attempt to get the cell phone back. That's when Police say Waters reportedly said he would not return the cell phone unless the victim got into his car.

Once in the car, Investigators say Waters would not let the victim out and would not stop whenever she asked him. Police say Waters drove to Denton, allegedly threatening and assaulting the victim.

Police say the victim was able to escape and contact a family member. According to reports, that's when the Police were contacted and the warrant was obtained.

Reports say Waters was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance Hearing after the warrant was served and he was released on his own personal recognizance pending trial.
