DOVER, Del. - An 89-year-old woman who was kidnapped by two teens and spent two days locked in the trunk of her own car has been recognized at a tribute for Delaware crime victims.

The News Journal reports Margaret E. Smith was honored Wednesday at the Delaware Victims' Rights Task Force's 22nd Annual Tribute to Crime Victims and Survivors.

The event honors survivors of violent crime as well as people who died as a result of crime.

Smith gave two teenage girls a ride from a convenience store in Milford on March 18. Police said the teens forced Smith into her car's trunk and drove around for nearly two days before dumping her at a cemetery near Seaford.

A total of four teens have been charged in the case.
