UPDATE: Easton Man Recovering After Being Struck By Car

EASTON, Md. – Easton Police has released an update on the pedestrian that was hit on Rt. 50 near Lomax Street on Sunday. Initially, police said the man was listed in critical condition.

Police say the man has been identified as 29 year-old Jesus Melendez. Authorities say he is now recuperating at his home after the incident.

According to reports, a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling Westbound and allegedly struck Melendez who attempting to cross both East and Westbound lanes.

The driver has been identified as 71 year-old Burton Dreisch of Joppa, Maryland. Police say he was unharmed in the accident.

An investigation is still ongoing and Police say charges are pending at this time.
