Wanted Dover Man's Arrest Leads To More Charges

FELTON, Del. - A wanted Dover man was arrested, during which authorities allegedly found a gun and drugs in his possession. On Tuesday evening, around 6:50 PM, Delaware State Police Kent County Governor's Task Force were apparently on patrol near Woodland Manor Mobile Home Park, near Felton, looking for a wanted man.

According to the report, they found him, 44-year-old Curtis Simmons, on Old New Road, where he was taken into custody. During the arrest, a .22 caliber revolver, 2.9 grams of cocaine, 2.6 grams of marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia, were all reportedly found on Simmons.

He was charged with a slew of offences, including possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and 2 counts of drug dealing. He is being held at JTVCC on $76,200 bond.
