MIDDLETOWN, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a 21-year-old man is facing drunken driving charges following an accident in Middletown that caused a tanker trailer carrying latex paint to overturn.

State police say the accident occurred about 2 a.m. Tuesday on Route 301 north of Warwick Road when a van traveling in the wrong lane collided with the tractor trailer.

Authorities say the driver of a van, 21-year-old Yuni Gonzalez, is facing charges including driving under the influence. Gonzalez and the tractor trailer driver were treated at Christiana Hospital for minor described as not life threatening.

State Police say a small amount of paint spilled from the tanker and state environmental officials were supervising removal of the rest. The tanker was expected to be removed from the scene by about midday.
