DSP Investigating Two Sunday Night Robberies In Dover

DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police say they are currently investigating a pair of robberies that happened late Sunday night in Dover.

Police say the first of the two robberies was around 11:30 PM. Investigators say as a 56 year-old man was exiting his vehicle in the Generals Green Apartment's parking lot, when a black male allegedly approached the car with a handgun and a cloth over his face.

That's when Police say the suspect demanded the victim's money. Investigators say the victim turned over an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect reportedly fled on foot around one of the nearby buildings.

The second incident was around midnight at the Burger King located at 1600 South DuPont Highway. Police say two black males entered the fast food restaurant pointing handguns at the four employees working behind the counter.

According to reports, three of the employees were forced to the back of the store. Police say the suspects demanded the fourth victim, a female, to retrieve money from a safe. Investigators say the employee turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and that's when the two suspects fled the store.

Authorities say, in both cases, none of the victims were injured.
