MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. - Mary E. "Peggy" Larsen, 94, passed away on Thursday, April 25th at Atria Assisted Living in Salisbury. Peggy was born in Mardela Springs, MD on October 21, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ada E. Hatton.  She grew up in Pocomoke and later moved to Greenhill. She graduated in 1935 from Wicomico High School. After graduation, she worked payroll for Phillip Brothers until after World War II. She married her high school sweetheart Stephen E. Russell and had three sons – Stephen E. Russell, II, John Brooks Russell and Charles A. Russell. She later returned to work at Campbell Soup Company in Salisbury where she worked payroll for eighteen years before retiring. After the death of her husband in 1973, she met and married John T. Duever in 1980. She and Jack traveled extensively prior to his death in 1984. She later married Harvey E. Larsen and traveled the United States mostly in the western part. She became a sports fan following the University of Maryland and the Delmarva Shorebirds. Peggy enjoyed travelling, reading and her flowers. She lived a full life and was always known for her smile. 

She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, the Wicomico Women's Club, Campbell Soup Retirees and was a volunteer for many years at Deer's Head Hospital. 
She is survived by her son; Charles Russell and his wife Susan of Salisbury, daughter in-law; Judy Russell of Chestertown, stepson; James Larsen of Salisbury, two granddaughters and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands and sons; Stephen and Brooks along with her siblings; Viola H. Dance, Woodrow W. Hatton, William H. Hatton and John A. Hatton. 

Services will be held at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury on Sunday, April 28th at 3:00PM with visitation one hour prior. Deacon Stephen Kuczma will officiate. Interment will be private at Springhill Memory Garden in Hebron.  Memorial donations may be made to the Joseph House, 812 Boundary St., Salisbury, MD 21801.
