Troopers Investigate A 'Shots Fired' Complaint At Millsboro VFW

Millsboro, Del. - The Delaware State Police is investigating a shots fired complaint that occurred in the parking lot of the VFW south of Millsboro.

The incident happened after a verbal argument between a security guard, working a private function at the VFW, and a patron who refused to leave.  When the patron finally entered his vehicle and began to leave, two gun shots were heard coming from the direction of the vehicle.  Troopers, who were in the area at the time, heard the gunshots and responded to the parking lot to investigate. 

A description of the vehicle was obtained and the troopers were able to make contact with a 19 year old male driver and a 17 year old male passenger still in the parking lot.  A search of the vehicle yielded no weapons, but the 17 year old male was found to have two capiases out of local courts.  He was transported to JP3 and released to a parent after his arraignment.
