Heron Ponds Amphitheater Awaiting Final Approval For Project

Posted: Updated:

DELMAR, Md. - Organizers with the Heron Ponds Amphitheater, hope Thursday night is the night, that they'll get final approval on their outdoor concert venue.

A decision could be made at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Delmar Town Hall. This project has been six months in the making, with a good amount of community support, and officials say they hope the momentum of that support, carries through.

"If everything goes as planned we want to have the bulldozers out here in the next eight weeks moving dirt," said Doug Marshall, Owner of Heron Ponds. "We're going to take from the pond and begin building a 6,000 person burm."

If town leaders turn down the plan, organizers say they will, quite literally have to go back to the drawing board and come up with new plans.
