DELAWARE - In the First State, a plan to improve school safety moves into its next stage of the planning process.

The Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security held a demonstration Wednesday at Polytech High School in Woodside, on the new web-based portal.

Officials say it will serve as an electronic storage unit for emergency plans, which they say will give emergency responders easier access to the information.
