Delmar Man And Former Marine, James Henderson Passes Away

Posted: Updated:

DELMAR, Md. - WMDT has been following the story of former marine, James Henderson and sadly, he passed away over the weekend.

The 37-year-old has been battling an aggressive form of brain cancer, and was recently told he had six months to live. The Delmar man leaves behind a wife and five children.

Salisbury University's Student Military Veterans Association were organizing a 5-K fundraiser for the Hendersons. The event will continue as planned, and the funds will now go towards the Henderson family, who's been struggling to keep their home from going into foreclosure.

The event will be held at Pemberton Park in Salisbury from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday May 5th. Registration is $25 before the event, but $30 if you sign up the day of the event. To sign up, head to susmva.com/5k-registration/.
