Virginia Beach Sees Rise In Heroin-Related Deaths

Posted: Updated:

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - Virginia Beach police say they've seen an increase in heroin-related deaths in the past eight months.

Police spokeswoman Grazia Moyers says eight people have died from heroin use since August. Five of the victims were men ranging in age from 26 to 47.

Moyers says the department doesn't have a specific reason for the rise and hasn't seen an increase of heroin coming through Virginia Beach.
