PITTSVILLE, Md. - A woman is accused of attempting to recruit her boyfriend to murder her parents. The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says they met with a homeowner on Sixty Foot Road in Pittsville, who's pistol and jeweler had been stolen from their home.

An investigation lead police to the victim's daughter, 24-year-old Amy Daniels, of Pittsville and her boyfriend, 19-year-old Dakota Luffman, of Willards.

During an interview with Luffman, he reportedly told police that Daniels stole the gun, and tried to give it to him to "take out" her parents. Luffman allegedly told Police that he thought Daniels wanted him to murder her parents. During that interview, Luffman also reportedly told Police that Daniels had told him when no one would be at the home, and that she wanted him to steal jewelry, to exchange for cash. According to the report, Luffman followed the instructions, and stole around $1,000 worth of jewelry from the home.

Police arrested Luffman, and have charged him in connection with the stolen jewelry, with 1st degree burglary, theft $1,000 to $10,000, and handgun possession. He is being held at the Detention Center on $40,000 bond.

Daniels was also arrested, and charged with theft of a handgun, and solicitation of murder in the first degree. She is being held at the Detention Center without bond. Police say the handgun has not been recovered, and it whereabouts are unknown at this time.
