GEORGETOWN, Del. - A woman is accused of causing a three vehicle accident, after reportedly smoking crack. Georgetown Police say on Wednesday around 2:00 PM, 43-year-old Sharon Herndon, of Bridgeville, was driving her Ford Mustang on East Market Street, coming up to the intersection of Sandhill Road, where several vehicles were stopped.

According to the report, Herndon didn't stop, causing her to hit the back of an SUV, which in turn, hit another SUV. Police say during the investigation, Herndon admitted to smoking crack cocaine earlier in the day, and officers found a glass tube, and unlabeled container of muscle relaxers in the car.

Police also reportedly discovered that Herndon has 2 prior convictions of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and that her license was revoked. The other two drivers were not injured in the crash, Herndon was treated at Nanticoke Hospital.

After treatment, Herndon was charged with DUI, driving while revoked, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving, and failure to have insurance. She is being held at SCI on bond.
