PITTSVILLE, Md. - Larry Stevenson Adkins, Sr., 60 of Pittsville, MD died on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD following a short illness. Born August 25, 1952, in Nassawadox, VA, he was a son of Aldren Delos Adkins, Sr. and Peggy Taylor Adkins of Pocomoke City, MD. Larry drove a truck for Mountaire Farms for the last 6 years, loved country music, westerns and old cars, but his grandchildren were the pride of his life.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons, Larry S. Adkins, Jr. of Eden, Larry L. Adkins (Theresa) of Snow Hill and Christopher Adkins, of Pittsville; one daughter, Tiffany Adkins of Pittsville, four brothers, Tommy Adkins of Salisbury, Raymon Adkins of Stockton, Phillip Adkins of Pocomoke City, and William Adkins of Pocomoke City; two sisters, Betty Stottlemyer of Crisfield and Gloria Mills of Snow Hill; his wife Teressa Adkins of Rehoboth, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Aldren "Bud" Delos Adkins, Jr.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 17 at 2PM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, where family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Old Snow Hill Road in Pocomoke City, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wicomico County Humane Society, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
