POCOMOKE, Md. - Anna L. Hope, 83, a lifelong resident of Pocomoke, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Riverside Shore Rehab Center in Parksley, VA. Born, December 29, 1929 in Pocomoke, she was a daughter of the late William Norwood Fisher and the late May Sturgis Fisher. Her husband, William E. Hope, Jr., preceded her in death on July 15, 1992. Anna enjoyed the church fellowship services offered at Newtown Apartments, where she had resided for over 20 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Wessells of Oak Hall, VA; two grandchildren, Crystal Wessells of Lawrenceville, GA and Ed Wessells of Chincoteague, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13th at 10:00 AM, in the First Baptist Church Cemetery, 2240 Old Snow Hill Road, Pocomoke City, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lynnhaven Baptist Church, P.O. Box 237, Pocomoke City, MD 21851, in order to continue their outreach ministries.
