Alex Guerrero Returns To Civic Center For First Main Event

SALISBURY, Md. – 31-year-old cruiser weight boxer Alex Guerrero, 8-0-1 (5 KO's) is back in his hometown for Friday's Salisbury Slugfest at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The bell is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Tickets range from $20-$90. You can purchase them at www.wicomicociviccenter.org, or call the box office at 410-548-4911.

This is his first main event against 30-year-old Terrance Smith, 8-14-2 of Oklahoma City. Guerrero made weight at 193 lbs, Smith made weight at 191 lbs.

This will be Guerrero's fifth fight in his hometown and his fourth at the Civic Center. He's coming off a big win in Atlanta, GA against Harvey Jolly of Michigan.

Guerrero's brother, middleweight contender Fernando, will fight for the WBO World Championship on April 27 at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, NY.
