Dewey Beach Enterprises Says Ruddertowne Benefits Economy

Posted: Updated:

DEWEY BEACH, Del. - We've received a response from the developer involved in the Ruddertowne building battle.

Dewey Beach Enterprises and the Town of Dewey Beach were sued by four residents after a private settlement was negotiated, giving the developer permission to build a mixed-use luxury hotel above the 35-foot building restriction limit.

Dewey Beach Enterprises released this statement to WMDT:

"The resort project is already of major economic benefit to the local economy, providing hundreds of construction and permanent jobs, and will be an asset to the Delaware coastline for decades to come."

The court is expected to make a decision within the next 3 months.
