SU's Student Military Veterans Association Hosts 5K For Former Marine

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - An update on a fundraiser, set up to help a local Delmar man with terminal brain cancer.

Salisbury University's Student Military Veterans Association is hosting a 5K race to benefit former Marine, James Henderson. So lace up your shoes and head to Pemberton Park in Salisbury, from 9 to 12 on Sunday May 5th. The SMVA is hoping to raise some much needed funds for James and his family, who are struggling financially.

"Someone who served our country had terminal brain cancer and all the money is going towards a good cause. So you're going for a fun run, you're raising money for a former marine and helping a family who really needs it," said Nicholas Engelhardt, Vice President of the SMVA.

It's $25 if you pre-register before April 29th and $30 on the day of the event. Click here to register online: http://susmva.com/5k-registration/
