UPDATE: Salisbury Shooting Suspect In Custody

SALISBURY, Md. - Police say that a man accused of firing a gun during a Wednesday night fight in Salisbury, has turned himself in. Salisbury Police say 24-year-old Marcellus Iberson, of Salisbury, is reportedly now in police custody, after he turned himself in on Thursday morning.

Police say a fight broke out on First Street and Hill Street near Downtown Salisbury, between a 21-year-old man and a person referred to as "Sony." Police say the fight stemmed from comments being made about a blood gang. The verbal altercation started between the 21-year-old and "Sony", but reportedly turned physical.

Police say three of the 21-year-old's friends also started with other subjects, while still others in the area threw glass bottles at the group. There were reportedly around 20 people at the scene.

According to the report, during the fight Iberson, walked out of his First Street home, pointed a gun at the victim, and fired. The victim was not hit, but all of those involved in the fight, including the alleged gunman, fled the area. Police searched Iberson's home, but the suspect was no where to be found.

The victim was treated at PRMC for injuries related to the fight.

After turning himself in, Iberson was charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, and wear/carry/transport handgun on person.
