Former Girlfriend Of Slain UMES Student Speaks

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - WMDT spoke with Edmonds's former girlfriend, Chelsea Joseph.  It was her car Edmond and his friends were driving the night he died, and she was one of the first to be notified of his death.

"I feel bad for my campus because you go to college, you expect that this is supposed to be the time of your life, these four years are supposed to be everything you possibly could imagine," says Joseph, "and then it's like, not just myself, but many people from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, their innocence was stolen.  Regardless if they find the people today, tomorrow, or later on, the campus will never go back to normal because that fear will always be in the back of people's minds."

At Wednesday's press conference, police said they don't have any reason to believe the killers were students.
