Man In Critical Condition After 2 Vehicle Collision

RIDGELY, Md. - Maryland State Police are investigating a 2 vehicle collision in Ridgely.

Investigators say a 10 wheel, single unit tanker truck was traveling West along Ridgely Road when the driver, 66-year-old James Erbaugh of Camden Wyoming, attempted to make a right turn onto Crouse Mil Road.  A pickup truck, driven by 33 year-old William Pirrone Jr. of Henderson, struck the back of the tanker truck.  Pirrone Jr. was trapped inside of his vehicle. Upon being extricated, he was flown to Shock Trauma and is listed in critical condition.  Erbaugh was not injured.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing, and charges are pending.
