ELLENDALE, Del. - A Millsboro man has succumbed to his injuries after a single vehicle crash, in Ellendale.
Delaware State Police say around 10:30 PM on Saturday, 63-year-old Kenneth Grinnell, was driving his Jeep on South DuPont Boulevard (US113) when he reportedly drove off the road. According to the report, Grinnell got the SUV back onto the road, but then drove it back off where he hit a tree, causing the Jeep to spin out, hit a ditch, and become airborne, before finally coming to a stop.
Police say that Grinnell was no wearing his seat belt, and was ejected from the SUV upon impact. He was air-lifted to Christiana Medical Center, where he later from his injuries on Monday morning. The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is still looking into the incident.
