Exotic Parrots Up For Adoption

Posted: Updated:

KENT CO., Del. - The Kent County SPCAis looking for homes for some of the 30 parrots seized from a Georgetown residence.

A spokeswoman says the birds were brought in over the weekend from an owner who could no longer take care of them. The parrots range from perfect condition to many having been feather plucked and some have scissor beaks.

Some birds are ready for adoption, but be aware that large parrots can live for up to 80 years, so caring for one is a long-term commitment.

If you're interested in adopting any of these exotic birds, call 302-698-3006
